I attended with my Mum last Saturday lunchtime.
I had been looking forward to trying this restaurant for a very long time as I keep seeing it advertised and I am a massive tapas fan. I liked the look of the restaurant but when the menu arrived I felt very under whelmed. The tapas choices were not what I would consider a traditional tapas menu so we decided to order from the main menu. I am very disappointed to say the food was below average, including the side orders. The chunky homemade chips were soggy, cold and oozing fat. The service was also appalling! We didn’t even receive all the items we ordered even though we were then charged for them, we also sat there for 15 minutes with our finished meals even though someone walked past us 15 times (I counted in the end) I wouldn’t mind if the restaurant was busy but there was in fact one other couple and a lone diner who eventually walked out after being ignored for 20 minutes.
Such a shame as I had expected a lot from this place.

Utterly shocking customer service and conduct.
Cardiff has many, many well run and friendly restaurants serving excellent food. Don't take the risk in going to this place. Also don't mistake reviews that are meant for Mimmas (which was there before Dizzy Llama) for this place. Avoid at all costs.
I would love to write about the food in the Dizzy Llama but unfortunately I didn't get that far.
I had booked a table after buying a Groupon voucher - giving them all the voucher details via email the week prior. Turned up on the night (having the voucher on my phone, but due to no printer ink I wasn't able to print the voucher) and they turned us away because we didn't have the printed voucher!
The manager said that we couldn't eat without the voucher - although he had all the details and I had it on my phone - and he even had the cheek to suggest going 15mins to the Apple store to get a print out instead of saying; a) drop it in tomorrow or b) email it and I'll print it later. Utterly shocking.
The manager, on twitter, then claimed that not bringing the voucher (which he had all the details from already) was the same as turning up without my wallet... What a joker. He obviously void of any knowledge relating to customer service.
Do yourself a favor & avoid the Dizzy Llama Cardiff.

A perfect evening. Great food, great service and value for money. A new independent restaurant in the city centre, the type we have been missing for a while.
