Traherne Arms

One wee piece of pork fillet, cooked to death in a mean portion of a very tasty mustard sauce, served with saute potatoes that had seen better days and some most unimaginary peas and round cut carrots.
The Eton Mess had seen better days, crammed with whipped cream and more whipped cream and even more whipped cream with a couple of specks of meringue that must have been sitting in the mess for at least a day. It was as chewy as toffee and contained about a teaspoon of berry juice.
I notice also that the original proprieter is no longer the licensee.
This place has certainly taken a tumble (excuse the pun) I would definitely not go there again and pay restaurant prices for what was no better than a school canteen.
