I shouldn't have expected any more from a chain restaurant but I had an excellent experience in a Bella Italia in Ediburgh, so I thought I'd give Cardiff's branch a go.
The service was extrenmely slow. I had to send back my main course because it was burnt to a crisp (and it was a pasta dish). The chef was visibly annoyed at the returned meal and he then sent me a completely different meal. The waitress was quite apologetic, and she did seem quite embarassed about the chef's blatent rudeness and incompetence. She didn't charge me for my main course after I decided not to eat it. To be honest I would have refused to pay for it anyway.
I love food and I usually eat what's in front of me, even if it's not entirley to my liking but I left Bella Italia feeling very hungry and disappointed.
I will not be going back there ever.
