Riverside Cantonese Restaurant

Expensive but excellent quality food. Service can be a bit variable but generally ok. Recommended.

The Riverside is without doubt the most authentic Cantonese style restaurant in Cardiff. They do serve food from other areas of China but they certainly specialise on the food from the area inland from Hong Kong.

Try the Sweet and Sour King Prawns. My wife, who has travelled extensively in China rates it as the best she has ever had. Their roasted Salt and Chilli Ribs are exqisite as a starter. The old favourite, Crispy Beef is beyond compare. Enjoy!

This is probably the best quality Chinese food served in Cardiff but at a price above what you would normally expect to pay. I cant totally agree with glowing comments from others on service but wouldn't put it down either. If your emphasis is on the quality of the food and don't mind how much you pay (let's face it Chinese food is cheap compared to most types of restaurants) then this is the place to go. Recommended.
