Pentre Gwilym / Wacky Warehouse

We ate there about 2 weeks ago and the food wasnt great. We didnt complain but just thought we wont go back. My steak was quite fatty and the chips were luke warm. I didnt think much of the service either, we waited ages for our drinks and it wasnt even that busy. The staff obviously need training, too busy chatting with each other to notice the customers. No atmosphere. Waste of money, would not recommend.

We first went for food a few months ago and the food was not good and we made a decision we wouldnt go back. As its close to home, we thought a couple of nights ago, we'd give them the benefit of the doubt and give them another go. Despite its beautiful location and lovely pub decor, nothing would now make us go back. Seems the staff we're more interested in mucking about, including terrible bad language and shouting/laughing from the kitchen plus LOUD drum & bass music being played by the staff in the kitchen. Plus, the food itself was BAD!!!!!!! Cold rice for mine and fish that wasnt cooked properly. Even getting the drinks seemed to be putting the staff out!! (9pm, not even closing time!!). Would not recommend this pub. Such a shame as its in such a lovely location.

was very disappointed with this pub. Lovely location but the food was a big let down. Took 55 minutes to arrive and was just warm. wouldnt go back.

myself and my partner have been going to the pentre gwilym for just over 2 years , we have always been made welcome by the staff, although they have changed chefs in the 2 years i have been going there i have always had my food come to me piping hot, the only down fall i have is that with the super surf and turf steak meal they have stopped doing the sweet chilly source, but if you get they'r mayonase,english mustard and french mustard sachets of source and mix them together you have a fine suplement for a reserve, we took our son up staires to they'r wacky warehouse for the first time about to weeks ago , he's only ten mounths old and becouse it was his first time the lady working there was so nice she let us take him in for ten minutes to see if he liked it free of charge, to be onest with you your restaraunt is outstanding in our eyes and we are going to be going ther for years yet to come.
