As a "foodie" several people have wondered why I haven't been here before...and now I have! To say it was a huge disappointment is putting it mildly, not just because it is hugely overpriced but primarily because of the poor cooking (dried out prawns were nearly inedible) and couldn't care less service (we had to keep asking to be helped or get extra drinks despite the fact the restaurant was nearly empty). If someone wanyed to take me there I might give it another go to see if this was just a "blip" but I would go with a heavy heart. Far too many good consistent restaurants elsewhere in Cardiff to waste your money here.

If looking for fresh fish this is a great place to go. The service was fast and efficient and but pricy. l don't mind paying extra if the food is good and this was the case here. To go there you will need extra budget.

Excellent organisation for our party of 26, except that the sale of all the extra bits caused some confusion. My steak was great and those around me were very pleased with their food too. I can imagine that the bill can run away a bit unless you keep an eye on it, but overall I think that if we lived in Cardiff we would be regular customers.

After ringing ahead to pre book a table for two the manager assured me there was no need and that we could just turn up - I did question him as it was a Saturday night, but he reassured me there was no need. We stood in the bar area for 90 minutes waiting for a table. During these 90 minutes various other people who had waited far less time than myself and my partner and the numerous other people ahead of us were shown a table. We were eventually shown a table. The food was average, the service was ok. When it was time for the bill a bottle of champagne and a soft drink was added to our bill.

Needless to say I will not be visiting this place again.
