La Brasserie

Been here a number of times. If you're looking for a good grilled meal this is the place to go. The food is prepared fresh. Even the duck / pheasant is cooked while you wait.
Service is great with fast friendly service. The meals are pricy but if you look at the specials you could get a great value meal for under £15.

We visited La Brasserie on March 22nd 2008. They produced a £21.95 rip off lunch menu especially for the EDF semi final day. This was a blatant "fleecing" of visitors to Cardiff. The restaurant itself is lovely and the staff are friendly and service is good. There was no need for this overpriced menu. The food is ok but we will not go again.

Not my favourite - i don't mind paying alot for a decent meal, but this place is overpriced. The food is not particularly inspiring or tasty. The actual restaurant is lovely, but i wouldn't bother going again. The food is ok - just doesn't live up to expectations. A bit pretentious.

As a lover of good food i can whole heartedly recommend 'la bras'.
Go for the fillet steak or duck and you will not want to eat anywhere else.
Just don't order well done and ruin it!
