La Boheme

I absolutely love this restaurant. Great food - the duck in plum sauce and veal escalopes are particularly good, as are the seafood starters. The decor has character and a beautiful charm and the atmosphere is always welcoming. Recent new staff can be a little over-attentive, but at least you know if there's anything you need, the service is there. Finally, you really do feel like you could be somewhere in Italy instead of in the middle of Cardiff! La Boheme was a great find and I will continue to recommend it.

eat there regularly for the lunch set menu... the fish specials are always a good choice.. friendly , and attentive staff. .. but not too much as to be over bearing... Alex is always courteous and professional.

I would recommend this hidden gem .

I attended this restaurant on 29/09/07 with a group of friends the atmosphere was brilliant, food was beautiful and hot. .

I reviewed this restaurant on the 15th and said how good it was, but after taking my son there on the 17th have changed my mind.

My son ordered brucheta for a starter which, when it came it was a bap that was even toasted covered in spinach and slithers of bacon.

when the main course came the duck tasted as though it had been cooked then reheated in the microwave,and the veg was a bowl of hard carrots frozen green beans and a bowl of chips which were soggy!!!

When we complained to the waitress that the other diners were eating saute potatoes she told us that the duty chef did not have any potatoes left, as the time was only 7-45 I thought this rather strange. 10mins later a bowl of potatoes was put in front of us.

If they have changed the chef they should rethink.A very dissapointing meal

I have eaten at this restaurant on several occasions and have never been disapointed the food is really good as is the atmosmophere.

I also love the decor you would not think you were in the middle of the city.
