Ate there recently for lunch, it was quiet and it was the worst experience I have ever had in any I have had at any restaurant I have ever eaten in. The chicken I was given was awful, and there was an aroma of toilets in the air. When I complained to head office (after leaving the cafe following complaining to the acting manager) I was told it was a problem with the toilets and the chicken should never have happened as they are precooked???!!!! nice to have freshly cooked food, but not that fresh.....

We decided to come here for a meal before going to the cinema and what a great time we had- we didn’t even make the film!!

The food was great- staff really fun and friendly and most of all the children had a great time coloring in the kids competition while we waited for our food.

Faultless- thank you!

St.Davids day and the week building upto it is supposed to be a momentous occasion for the Welsh, well, not in hard rock cafe in cardiff.

If, like me, you have visited many other hard rocks in the world and plan on visiting this one I strongly urge you not to do so.

The first point is outside the restaraunt front and back there was rubbish everywhere. The staff were seen to be smoking, on mobile phones and 2 members of staff were even kissing. (this is a family cafe apparently).

It took over 30 minutes for our main courses to arrive, the food was bog standard at best, overpriced and tasteless.

The service (something i have heard plenty about in Cardiff from freinds and family, good and bad reviews), i know im not the end all and be all but im a paying customer, just like you folks will be and it was totally abysmal. The staff barely had matching uniforms, those that did had stains and holes in them. They were very abrupt and the cafe was not even that busy. When you pay such ludicrous amounts for a burger you expect a little basic manners, sadly it was not to be.

The bar staff seemed arrogant and uninterested in our pre dinner drinks order, they too were sloppily dressed. I know it's not the hilton but a little bit of professionalism would not go amiss.

Finally, the toilets, I can only comment on the male toilets but to me toilets in a train are better. They were very dirty, one toilet was blocked.

To eat there for free would be painful enough, nevermind parting with your hard earned cash in this economic crisis. Do yourslves a favour, rent a film and get an oven pizza.
