Happy Gathering

I'm quite fond of the Happy Gathering, and have been going for years, though I also eat at other Chinese restaurants in Cardiff. I find the menu is pretty extensive at the HG, service normally swift and friendly, and I like the fact that such a cross-section of the community uses it. It's rarely quiet, and has a lively atmosphere. I've been for dim sum twice, but it was much better the first time. I'd recommend the HG for a pleasant, moderately-priced meal.

Food is really good but it's a bit like eating in a big barn and I agree with the previous comment that the service is very snooty and it's not cheap.

The food is good here but not overly cheap by Chinese standards. Unfortunately, each time I've eaten here the service has been very snooty and the atmosphere is totally lacking. there are better local options.

Great food and the staff are friendly.

I enjoyed my meal here as it was served quickly and tasted great. There is a wide selection of chinese dishes to choose from and I'm sure they are all equally delicious. Would recommend if looking for great chinese night out
