Cinnamon Tree

I had heard so much about the Cinnamon tree so I decided that it was time I checked the place out. I went to the branch in Cardiff.
The food was absolutely amazing. I have been to many famous indian resturants in London and in India and didn't think anything could match those resturants. But I was suprised. Not only was the food authentic and really tasty. It also had a contemporary touch. The service was speedy and i'm already having cravings for it again.

We ate at The Cinnamon Tree on a recent trip to Cardiff. We didnt have a reservation and were delighted to be given a table straight away. It took a long time for someone to take our order and an even longer time to give us our drinks. Eventually we got our food after waiting for over 1 1/2 hours. The food was excellent - some of the best Indian Food I have had although by the time we received it we were no longer hungry and it was nearly 10pm. My personal opinion is that they should concentrate on getting the basics right including good service and focus less on the frills. It just appeared to me that they seemed to spend too much dealing with take aways and not enough time providing service to those in the restaurant. All in all, the service was AWFUL but if you are prepared for a long wait then perhaps it is the place for you.

In my opinion one of the best indian restaurants in and around Cardiff. Its a bit more pricey but the standard and quality of food makes up for it. We have been several times and would recommend it. The staff are very attentive and friendly.
