Aegean Taverna
your comments review this restaurant
This restaurant used to be excellent. However, revisiting in November 2007 proved to be very disappointing.
Good points
The place has retained its authentic greek atmosphere reminiscent of a typical Greek taverna.
The house wine is good value and very palatable.
However, the starter dips took 40 minutes to arrive. These are usually served with pitta bread but we had to pay extra for these. The main courses were a garlic steak which was bland and uninviting. The other main course, Kleftiko, was a small portion consisting mainly of potatoes and little meat. The whole dish was swimming in 30mm of olive oil. Having visited Greece we can assure readers this is not the way this dish should be served. When we spoke to one of the waiters at the end of the meal he did not seem at all interested in our complaints.
Overall, a poor eating experience and a waste of £48

Having greek relatives, i'm always s sceptical of greek restaurants, however, the food here was first class, authentic delicious food and friendly service
